on 1 April 2003, the west central Railways was reconstituted from parts of central railways and western railways by allocation jabalpur and Bhopal division of the central railways zone ( CR) and the reorganization kota of the western railways zone ( WR) to WCR.
Jurisdiction :
The zone serves eastern and central madhy pradesh, southern uttar pradesh, and northeastern Rajasthan state. It contains the Tuglakabad ( TKD) locomotive shed, which belongs to kota division of west central railways but is situated the Northern Railway territory. West Central Railway meets Northern Railway at Mathura, western railways at Nagda, north western railways at chittorgarh, central railways at khandwa and Itarsi. North Central Railway at Bina and Manikpur South East Central Railway at Katni and Easy Central Railway at Singaroli Stations.
